  • I am one of those people who find it very difficult to breath through a tube and have their nose obstructed. I did snorkel a few times but each time I had troubles concentrating on the mask and being afraid that I am going to drown. This kind of full face mask, where you can breath both through your mouth and nose makes a lot of sense! I might even buy one to take with me for my next trip to Mexico, where I do plan to snorkel (and hopefully dive as well).

  • I’ll be honest, I had no idea there were so many to choose from. I’m not the best at snorkeling, so I’ll choose the Seaview 180 degree. I never like gagging under water and taking in sea salt, so this one wins for me!

  • These are the best! I got one for my 5 year old before our trip to the Cook Islands and she loved it! So much better than the traditional masks, these make it so easy to snorkel without worrying about a mouthpiece or water getting into your eyes.

  • Thanks for all the tips and recommendations. Although I have only snorkeled a few times I always struggle because I need to wear my glasses or find prescription snorkels. This is helpful because full face snorkels might solve one of those problems and also since i’m not always comfortable for long under water, they seem to be the natural choice. I’ll give them a look and hopefully have something nice for the next trip.

  • I have wanted to try one of these for a long time now, but every time I look at them I feel like I get claustrophobic. After reading through this, I think I feel a little better about the full face round anti-fog one. Seems like when my masks fog up it makes me feel more claustrophobic, so that one looks especially perfect for my particular needs. Thank you for this review, it is nice to have something a little more in depth and informative to help me choose.

  • I have snorkeled few times but I haven’t bought my own snorkel mask till now. I would definitely prefer the full face one as well since it would be better. I love the comparison table. It is good to know that there are kid sizes available too for one brand

  • Full face snorkel masks sound like an absolute dream!! I’ve only been snorkelling twice, and what puts me off going again is the whole idea of accidentally breathing in the water – which I did A LOT the last two times! I’ll definitely have to look into investing in a full face snorkel before I go again!

  • I always wanted to try snorkel. It’s on top of my to do list. Full face snorkel mask looks like a great thing. I had no idea there were so many types of masks. I think I will go for sea view 180° mask.
