Review: Da Papa Ristorante Pizzeria
Restaurant: Da Papa Ristorante Pizzeria
Location: Chaweng area, near Samui First House Hotel
Date: May, 2016
Da Papa Ristorante Pizzeria was one of our favourite places when we stayed on the island. We came back many times because of the whole package – the food was great, the owner and staff were lovely, the menu was so varied, it was so close to our hotel and they offered takeaway options.
We loved it here and we even asked the owners advice for a bar or nightlife and his suggestion to go to Ark Bar was amazing. There is also an area right outside to park up your motorbike (put it in the shade though, you’ll burn your butt on the seat otherwise.) There is also the option to sit inside or outside. They put a fan by us when we sat outside.
The food here was really good. The owner was Italian so it was really authentic. I know when in Thailand we should be eating Thai, but when you are looking for a little change and familiarity this is the place to go. The menu was huge with so many varied choices.
We had both full meals and smaller snacks here. We even got our friend a takeaway when he was too hungover to come with us.
We actually never met anyone else in the time we were here. The prices are super friendly so I imagine anyone would enjoy this place. I would take my son here no problem.
My favourite part
I loved the owner. He was a bank of useful information and great advice. He even told us if we came back again after our first meal we could use his private pool while we waited for food. He owned the buildings next door and there was a very inciting pool to stare at while we melted waiting on our food.
My least favourite part
It was so hot here. Honestly I sat beside the fan the whole time. It was probably cooler inside.
