  1. It’s so strange now visiting countries where people still smoke in restaurants as in the short time it’s been banned in the UK I’ve become completely used to the joy of smoke-free bars and restaurants! Looks like a great place to have round the corner from your hotel base though!

Yes I totally agree! We are Scottish and we are so used to everywhere being smoke free that it’s a shock to the system when it isn’t

  2. That chicken sandwich looks really good! I’m not a fan of smoking in restaurants and coming from the UK we take it for granted that we eat in a smoke free environment. I can see why you were annoyed

  3. This looks like a nice restaurant with good food and nice place to have food leisurely enjoying the TV or catching up on the social media through wifi. I do not smoke and I feel very uncomfortable with the pungent smoke and if it is while eating then would not be able to eat at all!

  4. It’s always that toss-up between outdoors and cigarette smoke or indoors and miss the sun. I have a friend who ONLY smokes when she is with her personal friends (her husband and kids don’t know she smokes). And it REALLY annoys me. I don’t think smokers realise how unpleasant it is for everyone else.

    The sandwich looks good though;)

Seems like a place with good food. I love cute little cafes on the corners of the street. I can sit in a cafe for hours and watch the people go by.

That was exactly why we loved it too, you had such a great view while you were there. It was so relaxing to enjoy it all going by.

  6. I love the format of this post! I like how everything has a category; it makes it very easy to read. I am a huge chicken sandwich fan and you have definitely made me hungry 🙂

  7. Sounds like a great place to kick back with a sandwich and get some work done – I really appreciate cafes and restaurants which offer a WiFi connection for customers, keeps me there longer too! I’m not a big fan of smoking either, so it’s always an adjustment when I arrive in a country which hasn’t banned it from public yet. Thanks for the review!

No problem Megan. The wifi is a big thing for us too, we always love to check up with the internet world when we get a chance.

  8. The chicken sandwich looks yum (I could totally eat that right now!) although I think I would find it weird to be in a cafe where people can smoke.. it’s been banned for so long in the UK and Australia that I’m quiet used to clean air now!

    • Natasha says:

I am glad to hear it is banned in Australia too. We are coming out next year and will be glad to enjoy some smoke-free food areas. But really people were only smoking in the outside seating area here, but it still got to us.

The chicken sandwich looks very delicious. Sorry to hear that they were blowing the smoke in your face. That must have been so awful.

  10. I am surprised they allow that. Normally, few meters away from the establishment is where someone can smoke or there’s a designated smoking area for customers.
