Review: El Pijaro Corralejo
Restaurant: El Pijaro Corralejo
Location: Corralejo, Fuerteventura
Date: December 2016
El Pijaro Corralejo was on the corner of the main street and the street of our hotel, the Maxorata Beach Apartments. Many times we walked past this place as we enjoyed a walk before we ate, and this was so close to our hotel. We did park up here once when Travis was asleep and we enjoyed a nice drink and connected to their WiFi to catch up on work.
The place was very clean and welcoming. The staff here were so kind and always ready to help.
The first stop here we just enjoyed a drink. We came back for food another time because we had enjoyed it here the first time. The food was really nice, I had chicken in a sandwich and it was really nice.
El Pijaro Corralejo had a nice mix between locals and tourists. I would say the majority here are tourists and usually older Brits enjoying a relaxing lunch. We did see locals on a date here and saw some holiday-makers enjoying drinks here on numerous occasions.
My favourite part
I loved the atmosphere here. You could sit out and enjoy sun, watch TV as they had one on the outside walls. It was super relaxing and a really nice, friendly place.
My least favourite part
Everyone smokes in Spain. El Pijaro Corralejo was no different and smoke was blowing into us as we walked past and while we sat down. As non-smokers is isn’t nice to smell it, and we hated thinking Travis was breathing it in.
Have you been to El Pijaro Corralejo?
