Follow the 80/20
Lets say you make 100 posts per month (you do not need to, just for the purpose of this example.) 80 of these posts should be valuable content for your audience. This means that these 80 posts will NOT be your products, your pictures, your blog or promotions. You will only do 20 out of 100 posts which reflect your brand. Facebook is a social site and its important you stick to that too, or you will lose followers and annoy your audience.
Use your branding on your photographs. This can be helpful for a few reasons. Facebook is a very ‘noisy’ social platform. This means people are seeing hundreds of posts per day. They scroll at lightning speed and only the eye catching pictures get a second look. It is important that if this is your picture, your audience is able to quickly identify where it came from… For example if you are Pizza Hut and showing a picture of a delicious meal, put your logo in the bottom corner so fans know where they can go to get it… without wasting their valuable time having to research into the post of course.

Facebook is very social. Your customers won’t expect you as a business to be any different. If someone comments on your pictures, sends messages and so on, reply! If they send a very general comment at least give it a like. Acknowledge your fans and let them know you are real. You are listening. This will encourage them to post in the future. You can also re-port your fan pictures. People love a bit of fame and getting their picture used with their name mentioned makes them feel special.
These tips are very basic Facebook marketing tips – there is a lot to running a successful social media account!
