Such an adventure! Glad to be following along and can’t wait for the updates to start!

  3. Sounds like an epic trip- no wonder you’re so excited! Sometimes the waiting game before a big trip is the hardest, but sounds like you’ve got plenty to keep you occupied in the meantime.

    • Natasha says:

Oh I totally agree. I often sit imagining myself somewhere more hot and beautiful. It will pass quickly with everything we have to get done until then

  4. It’s amazing to know that there’s so much thinking and monetary calculations before embarking on a world trip. May be you can help me with some tips to get remote online jobs. (Ambuj Saxena)

Eeek! How exciting – it’s 6 months until we head off to the same place – Bangkok! Thanks for your comment on my new blog, maybe we will bump into each other on the road!

    • Natasha says:

That would be amazing, we will still be in Thailand when you arrive actually. We should totally do a meet and greet, we could interview each other for the blogs 😊

Sounds like an incredible trip coming up! It always gets a little hectic when you’re trying to tie up loose ends before traveling. Best of luck and have an amazing travel experience.

  7. Such an exciting time on the cusp of an epic adventure. On one hand, the time will fly right by but on the other hand it will seem like forever and a day until you actually go. It’s amazing how much there is to do before you turn your life on end and fly across the world. Best of luck to you guys.

That sounds quite daring and adventurous. True travel blogging spirit!
I will watch out for the updates.

Sounds like you have quite the adventure coming up. I went on a 6-week trip through SE Asia five years ago, and it inspired me to reorganize my life and really prioritize travel. It seems like Thailand at the same effect on you! Good luck with the craziness ahead. I am in the midst of dealing with visa paperwork to move to China, so I feel your pain!

    • Natasha says:

That is exactly what happened. I wanted to got for ten years before i did. I would never delay travel now. Which part of China are you heading to? We will be visiting Shenzhen this year

So excited for you guys!! What a thrilling time right before a big trip. It’s a whole new life ahead of your family. If you’re coming through Cambodia during your trip, let me know! My partner and I live in Phnom Penh. Happy to share any advice/answer questions about Cambodia.

  13. What an exciting adventure!! I can’t wait to read about your journey. The longest I’ve traveled was 7 and a half weeks. 5 months sounds like a dream come true. Enjoy every second.

    • Natasha says:

Thank you! We will be away about 9 months, but it is only 5 until we leave! 7 weeks is longer than have ever done so far! How was it and where did you go?

    Lovely post!

Good on you for taking off on such an adventure. Asia rocks! Good luck with sorting out your apartment. We did virtually the same thing in late 2015 when 6 months after buying our apartment in London, we put everything in storage, rented out the flat and took off to South America. Best decision we ever made!

  16. The waiting game is beautiful, too. It’s like reverse nostalgia. You are already making memories in your mind that you have yet to make. It’s beautiful. Good luck and enjoy the journey!

    • Natasha says:

I loooove this. I love the way you see it and explain it-that is exactly what I do!!! We constantly make plans in our heads

  17. Jordan says:

How are you doing this! My husband and I are desperate to get out of this 9-5 rut

    • Natasha says:

Hi Jordan! We are funding it in a few ways, but I actually work remotely which is our main income. I can give you a lot of advice if you want to chat just let me know! There are so many ways you can make the move to freedom!

  18. Jungie says:

Very inspiring travel 🙂 Hoping you can visit Philippines, too. I’ll tour you around.

Sounds like you have an amazing trip planned and a lot of work ahead of you yet. I always enjoy planning and preparing for a trip. It is almost like traveling itself when you are thinking about it and itself can be really fun.
