Hotel: Khaosan Palace Hotel

Date: 17th – 19th May, 2016

Room: Standard Double Room

Staying in the Khaosan Palace meant it was nearly home time. Additionally it was nearly the end of an epic adventure. Khaosan Palace Hotel is one of the nicer hotels on the famous Khao San Road and not for too much extra. The room we had was simple however very nice and comfortable. Our room was also at the back of Khao San Road so didn’t hear too much noise.

Khaosan Palace Hotel is located on one of Thailand’s most notorious party streets which every traveler/ backpacker comes through called Khao San Road. Khao San Road is a market street by day and a party street by night. There is everything you need within walking distance of Khaosan Palace Hotel so that’s one less stress.

Sleeping in Khaosan Palace Hotel was made very easy by having a comfortable bed helped with some drinks as our last night in Thailand was approaching fast.

We met all different kinds of people at Khaosan Palace Hotel. Firstly the employees were very friendly and very helpful, allowing us to leave our luggage in a safe room after our check out. Secondly we met all different kinds of travelers. Two Canadian girls in particular who were just starting their journey as we were finishing ours. It was awesome to tell them about our trip and give them hints and tips on where to go and what to see. Lastly you will meet the locals who are very friendly but can also be quite harassing with trying to sell you stuff.

My favourite part

I loved the people we met and the party atmosphere that surrounded Khaosan Palace Hotel. Every singe person on that street were either about to start an epic journey or coming to an end of one and that is pretty cool. To have so many like minded people around made being away from my young son so much easier.

My least favourite part

The only part of staying in Khaosan Palace Hotel that I didn’t enjoy was the fact I was leaving so soon and that is of no fault of the hotels.
