Review: Restaurante San Borondón
Restaurant: Restaurante San Borondón
Location: Calle La Galera, Corralejo
Date: December 11th, 2016
Restaurante San Borondón was a chance find with us during our time in Corralejo. We stumbled across it when exploring the streets from the main strip road in town. This place is right where the main strip meets the side streets to go down to the main beach in the town. It was fresh and airy and had some outdoor seating so we decided to check it out.
The host was super friendly and the staff here loved little blonde Travis. The host was around a lot being nice but I think that was mainly because there was football showing on the outdoor TV.
At Restaurante San Borondón we ordered pizza. It was lunch time so we ordered one to share. For Travis we also ordered a margarita pizza off the childs menu. When it arrived they were all the same size! Total bargain for money.
The pizza was super thin, just like I had had in an authentic Italian in Rome some years before.
There was no one else in eating at the time we visited. You can tell from the atmosphere that it is usually holiday-making Brits who visit, probably who are interested in watching the football while still soaking up a bit of sun.
My favourite part
We really loved the food here. It reminded me so much of my time in Rome, a pizza I never imagined to come across again, nevermind on a Spanish island.
My least favourite part
It was a little off-putting to have the guy stand near our table to watch football all of the time. It wasn’t the worst thing in the world, I mean I’d certainly go back here for the food no issues.
