Overview

On our last night in Corralejo we decided to eat at Retro Bar & Restaurant. We had walked past it many times and read great things about it online in a Facebook group we were part of. When we arrived the atmosphere was fantastic, there was music on, the tables were awesome with band motifs, there were lots of people there enjoying food.

We really enjoyed the meal here and wished we had tried it sooner.

Location

Retro Bar & Restaurant is just up the road a little from Las Palmas mall, up toward the big water park.

Food

The food at Retro Bar & Restaurant  was some of our favourite on Fuerteventura. We had a really hard time choosing what to eat because the options all sounded absolutely delicious. David settled on a big burger and I had chicken wrapped in Bacon with BBQ sauce. Both were absolutely amazing. The portions were generous too.

Clientele

There were actually many types of people in Retro Bar & Restaurant. Saw a group of people who looked like they were on a work night out (likely since it was Christmas.) There were also single men there and men eating together as friends. Just as we came in other families were just leaving too so there was a real mix of people.

My favourite part

The food by far. If Travis hadn’t been teething I’d have sat here and eaten more and more. We had to get him back to bed though.

My least favourite part

I know its silly but we had no wifi anywhere and hoped to connect. We couldn’t see the code anywhere and the waitresses weren’t around enough to ask for it.

  • it looks like you had a good time in Retro bar & restaurant 🙂 It’s not that bad not to have wifi at dinner. Otherwise everyone is on the phone instead of talking 😉

  • We have one kiddo that almost entirely exists on french fries when we travel. That photo made me think, ‘Great! We can eat here!” LOL! Looks like a yummy find!

  • The food looks great and you’re right, it’s a generous portion size. It’s a shame about the wifi – such a necessity for people who are traveling, but at least you had a great meal.

  • The burger and fries look delicious. I have tried eating in restaurants that do not offer wifi. I could not stop checking my phone. Haha. It was okay because I was with family and friends.

  • That burger looks so yummy and appetizing, and is also served with fries. Burger and fries do make a great combination. I personally love to eat at places where there is no WiFi as my undivided attention is towards the food.

  • The burger looks really delicious but I am a vegetarian these days. So hopefully they had something for me too. I would have searched for wifi too if I was traveling alone. It is a good way to pass up the time.

  • Retro Bar & Restaurant seems like a wonderful place to eat out. I know we shouldn’t be worried about wifi, but it is an essential when travelling if you don’t have any other way to connect. I am not eating meat right now, but that burger did look delicious!

    • Strangely enough Fuerteventura was kind of disconnected. Even the hotel wifi was terrible and only one device could connect at a time!

  • Oh wow those burgers are huge! Looks like a cool vibe as well, that’s always important to me. I am a bit of a burger addict so those are right up my alley!
