Restaurant: Sheryles Sports Bar & Restaurant
Location: Old City, Chiang Mai
Date: October, 2016
We first ended up in Sheryles Sports Bar & Restaurant early one morning in Chiang Mai because it was too early to check into our hotel. It was the only place nearby that we found was actually open and accepting customers at around 8am on a Sunday morning. We were happy to see that there was internet connection – after four days in Bangkoks Wild Orchid Villa we had been limited to one device at a time and hadn’t been able to access our blog or emails for days.
We decided to order food since we hadn’t eaten properly since we left Bangkok on Saturday afternoon. We ended up ordering proper meals for breakfast and I sampled the Pad Thai – it was amazing. Travis had corn flakes without the milk to snack on. We ended up having lunch here too and some extras including lots of water and coca cola and we barely spent any money. We paid less for all of this than we would pay for one meal out back home in Scotland.
This is mainly a sports bar so you get a lot of sporting fans in here. Most people were westerners who came in to catch some sport on the TV or grab a meal they were familiar with from back home.
MY FAVOURITE PART
The wifi is soooo fast! We ended up back here every day we were at the De Lanna because the internet was best to work from. I will be heading back to Sheryles to do work calls later in October too. They also let us charge our laptops and phones which meant we could sit here all day without problems.
MY LEAST FAVOURITE PART
There isn’t something off the top of my head that I did not like at Sheryles Sports Bar & Restaurant. I am trying to be picky to think of something… it would just have to be that Travis is so obsessed with balls that he will barely sit still here now he knows there is a pool table.
Have you been to Sheryles Sports Bar & Restaurant?
