Bus: Reykjavik Excursions Bus
Journey: Keflavik Airport – Reykjavik
Date: April 2016
The bus was clean, very modern and well maintained. You could pre-book a ticket or you could pay at the time. The buses leave the airport 30-60 minutes after the landing of every flight, so you know there is always a bus there for you when you land. You just walk right out the front and ask to get on.
The bus is a full coach so there is lots of space. You can put your bags in the underneath if you want. These buses offer free WiFi which is something I was amazed at. This was when we found some of the best connections in Iceland.
The bus staff were really nice and willing to help. They were able to find our names easily on the list they had of who had pre-booked. They were kind enough to wait for people who were lagging behind.
There were lots of types of people on the bus. Mainly a bunch of drunk Scots who had found a cheap deal to Iceland and decided to check out the Blue Lagoon. There were some more hardcore travellers too and journalists and photographers.
My favourite part
I loved the free WiFi on the bus. We had left our son at home for this trip for the very first time so I was eager to get in touch with family and see how he was doing. The WiFi meant I could connect to download pictures of him and send my family some back of our travels so far.
My least favourite part
The other passengers were super rowdy from the airport to the hotel. They had been drinking a secret bottle on the Easyjet flight and were totally wasted an embarrassing themselves trying to chat up the young journalists.
