  1. I cannot imagine anyone sleeping on Khoa San Road unless really drunk to be honest! It is not hard to get drunk there either (especially if you are a total lightweight like me). Great place though

OK, I will remember this place if I want to get drunk in Bangkok then I would book a stay in this area 😀 But for comfort and peace, sounds like this is the area not to be. 😀

I am saving this hotel for future trips! I like that its right on Khao San road and everything is within walking distance much better than being further out.

Oh no, I’m worried about those heads bashed on the bottom of the shallow pool! Is everyone okay?! Other than that, it sounds like you had a great time!

  5. When I was in Bangkok, I didnt consider staying in Khao San so i can get some peace and quiet. That said, Rikka Inn looks like a good choice for those wanting to ne close to the action. Plus it has a rooftop pool!

I love Kho san Road in Bangkok. This place looks like so much fun! I think I am a bit old for this, but sounds like a fun experience.

  7. Reading about your least favourite part, I initially thought it shouldn’t have been a problem and that the staff could have handled it better. But then again, I guess I understand the need for the rules to not allow unregistered guests staying in the room particularly considering the location of the hotel.

  8. So lucky that more serious injury wasn’t had due to diving into the pool!

  9. You were brave to pick Kho San Road for your first stop! I couldn’t imagine sleeping there – the noise goes on until all hours. But then again if you’d been drinking and were jet-lagged I can see how it may not have been as issue! And in our experience, swimming pools in Asia tend to be lacking in the safety signage department – but I’m sorry David bashed his head!

Ha well all was well in the end! I am unsure how we managed but honestly we didn’t find it an issue any of the times we have stayed there
