So I have been recently putting more effort in to expanding my social media presence. This has found me becoming an admin of quite a successful blogging engagement group, taking free courses, joining interaction teams and so much more. There was one course in particular that has tripled my Pinterest exposure in less than two weeks, with minimal commitment and only small changes to be made.
I would not say I am spending much more time on Pinterest, I am just doing it all better with more skill and thought to what I am doing thanks to the course.
The course is called Pinterest Primer and it is by McKinzie Bean of Moms Make Cents. It is totally FREE to enroll and to take the full 5 day course. Obviously, the course is spread over five days. I did the first few days as they came then took the last three days all in one. By the time I was watching the last three days I had increased my exposure from 2.2k per month to 5.9k per month.
I finished off the course, made a few more changes and by morning I was getting an exposure of 6.3k per month. Amazing right?
The course is spread out over five days which includes;
How to create the perfect Pinterest profile
How to create viral pins
How to schedule your pins like a pro
Myth Busters: Pinterest Edition
#PinterestFail : The mistakes you are making on Pinterest
As you can see the course covers quite a lot. The big step for me was getting my profile organised and looking good. I made some major changes right away to the look of my profile which I think really helped. According to Tailwind which I am using for statistics I am gaining more followers per week then the average profile – yay!
The Pinterest Primer course also offers a free trail of Tailwind, which then follows up with free Tailwind credit, there is a bonus module at the end of the course and you get extra freebies and discounts offered for more of McKinzies courses.
Before taking this course I did not even know where to find these stats. I would have only considered my follower count to be important too, but truly it is the exposure that I am getting which matters.
