If you are a travel or lifestyle blogger you may be wondering how to go about getting sponsored travel. Getting sponsorship for travel does not have to be difficult and actually it comes down to crafting the perfect travel sponsorship proposal to present to a brand. Creating the perfect travel sponsorship letter sample to use time and time again is the first step on landing sponsored travel, but there is a lot more to it than just writing a letter asking for free travel or telling the company you need a sponsor.

Think about your sponsored travel as a job
You need to consider yourself a serious worker if you want to travel on sponsorship. You may be able to craft the most flattering travel sponsorship letter sample, but if you do not have something to offer the brand then you will fail every time. This means having something valuable to offer the brand in return for your sponsored trips.
For example you could offer:
Blog post reviews
Social media exposure
You can offer a wide range of things in return for your sponsored trips, but it really needs to be valuable to a brand to make it worth their while. You should include your personal skills in your travel sponsorship letter sample when you are contacting a brand so they know upfront how valuable it is for them to agree to work with you.
Drafting a travel sponsorship letter sample
You need to create a good travel sponsorship letter sample which you can edit and amend each time you email a brand. You want it to be to the point, yet not blunt or asking too much. Having a travel sponsorship letter sample means you can quickly email multiple people per day without having to write out a huge email every time you are ready to ask for travel blog sponsorship.

Inside the travel sponsorship letter sample you should state what exactly you can offer the brand, when you expect to be in their area and/or able to take a sponsored trip, include a media kit and thank them for taking the time to read your email. This shows that you know their time is valuable.
Sending the travel sponsorship letter sample
Before you send your travel sponsorship letter sample you should take time to make it less of a sample and more of a personalised email. Try to find the name of the person you are sending it to, or at least address it to the marketing manager of the hotel/brand you are emailing. Find the email address online of the brand you want to work with (you can learn how to do that in our travel sponsorship course) and enter it into your email manager. Title the email well (we have a killer title in our course that doubled our email openings overnight) and wait probably a maximum of a week for a response.
You can chase the travel sponsorship letter sample email up after a week if you wish or you can write it off as one of the many people who just ignore blogger requests, that is a personal choice.
You can learn everything you need to know from building a relevant website, to writing out a proper review in our Travel Sponsorship Course.
